How am I doing so far?
And an opportunity to tell me what you want to see in this space
I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted this publication to be, and what purpose I wanted it to serve. I decided to write what I felt like writing and the result has been (I think) a good mix of personal essays and newsy features. This project is a very valued opportunity to explore my voice and continue to write.
I want to keep doing this and plan to label each newsletter appropriately to differentiate between opinion/personal essay and news.
I would also love to hear what you want to read about in this space. Please feel free to share some ideas in the comments section of this post, or send me a private message on Twitter (or through here if it is possible). My Twitter handle is @anamlatif87.
Thank you to everyone who has read my newsletters so far, and an extra special thanks to those who have subscribed and shared.
Stay tuned for a new story about Kitchener Public Library’s first 2SLGBTQ+ historical collection.
I am loving your diverse articles and would love to hear and learn more about:
the struggles of small businesses, Is Canadian workplace ready to create a balance for working Moms?Your personal struggles and triumphs and female empowerment. Good Luck
So far so good. I like the subjects you're writing about. I think it's good for other women to be able to relate to or see how someone else is coping with all of life's struggles and challenges. I like to call them challenges because that seems to be the way it is. There's always something to keep us on our toes. What's the next challenge? How did the last one go? I love to hear about your prospective, your point of view from another angle. You've done that for me many times, whether it's food or differences in our cultures or religions. I'll be interested in what you write after your family trip to Dubai and Pakistan, maybe through the eyes of a 4 & 5 year old, could be really interesting!
